Assignment Title: Article for the Lay Public
What I learned: In this assignment I learned how to write
an article for the lay public, conduct interviews for an article, incorporate
quotes with proper transitions, tailor information to a specific audience, and display
my information using Microsoft Publisher.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment helped me realize
what it takes to write an article an easy to read article for the general
public. It also helped me learn how to effectively blend quotes into the content
of the article.
Relevance to the profession: Most people who need nutritional advice do not
have an extensive background in nutrition. Thus it is important to give
information in a simplified manner that is easy to understand. Being able to
communicate with the public is essential to get the main messages across.
